tracking reading minutes and celebrating your child's progress
giving your child opportunities to read
reading a book with your child

TRACK YOUR CHILD'S READING MINUTES

Any child who reads 500 minutes will enter a raffle for a basket of books! Every grade that reaches its reading goal will earn a popcorn party. We'll show progress on our virtual banner, posted here when the event begins. Remember reading in any language counts and will pop a jelly colored popcorn kernel!

HOW TO ENGAGE YOUR CHILD:

Talk to them about reading! Make it FUN!
Visit the Lexington Library at recess and the Los Gatos Library after school.
Suggest they review a favorite book using this book review form or make a video.
Join our Zoom Storytime, Wednesdays at 7:30pm during the Read-A-Thon. Make sure to put your name, grade, and teachers name before entering the zoom.:
Submit minutes weekly to win raffle prizes and be mentioned on the banner.
Encourage them to read in their home or additional language for their Pathway to Multilingualism goals.
Ask them who was the Mystery Book Character this week and if they have read that title.
