Lex Welcomes New Principal

We bid Mrs. Lauren Honda adieu and best wishes on her retirement this past spring with boundless heart felt thanks at a drive by farewell parade. It was a wonderful event with a traffic jam of love for her!

Lexington Elementary School is thrilled to welcome our new Principal, Mr. Jason Deppong!

He returns to us, as he once was a teacher at Lexington for 12 years. Since then he has been busy traveling the world! He taught and was a principal in Norway at Skagerak International School. We are so lucky to have a leader with International Baccalaureate experience! After Norway he returned to California and was a principal at Mill Valley.

The students all had a chance to meet their new principal at the Drive By Ice Cream Social the Home and School Club hosted on the day before school. Mr. Deppong is a music lover and musician, so he played the drums as kids drove by to meet him. It was such a great way to kick off the school year, even if we all couldn’t return to campus.

Stay tuned for Mr. Deppong’s principal video chats where he shows us around Lex and get to know him better. We are all looking forward to being back at Lex when we can safely return.
